Don't worry about me and FredRank going away. We're still chuggin' along. There's just a few reasons why I haven't made a post for the last few weeks.
-Because the first three weeks of AAF games have been overwhelmingly kind to the home teams, Solver (the tool in Excel I use to generate these rankings) believes the clearest answer is to give any home team a 14-point advantage. I'm not down with that.
-Even in using a fixed home field advantage of 3.00, there are still some oddities with the ratings. For example: 0-3 Memphis coming in at 5th, ahead of 2-1 San Diego.
Expect new ratings following this coming weekend's games or, at least, after the following weekend. Things should finally begin to solidify by then.
