Freddy's CFL Ratings: 2019 Week 20

The end of the regular season is here! With three distinct possibilities remaining for the West playoff picture, let's get into what could happen on the road to the Grey Cup.

The Calgary Stampeders have to win to have hope of hosting a playoff game (other than the Grey Cup, which will be in Calgary no matter what). If they win and the Saskatchewan Roughriders lose, the Stamps will host the West final; a Riders win means they would host that final, regardless of what Calgary does.

If the Stampeders lose, they would play the semifinal in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers.

I think a Calgary win and a Saskatchewan loss combine for the most interesting setup. That's not to say I think that will happen; the Edmonton Eskimos would have to win in Regina on Saturday to make it possible. But I'd really love to see something not seen since the Ottawa REDBLACKS joined the league: a non-1 seed in the Grey Cup. I think getting Calgary in the top West seed creates the best chance for that to happen.
