Despite a current 1-2 record and a projection of 7-5, Weber State remains in the bracketology picture for a couple of reasons. Both losses have come by just six points, against two Mountain West teams (San Diego State and Nevada) whom I project to make bowl games.
This has contributed to both their high standing in polls and a solid strength of schedule for them and the rest of the top Big Sky teams.
Since it's still early, final record matters a lot more to me in these projections than the current FredRank ratings.
